The Tao never does anything,
yet through it all things are done.
If powerful men and women
could center themselves in it,
the whole world would be transformed
by itself, in its natural rhythms.
People would be content
with their simple, everyday lives,
in harmony, and free of desire.
When there is no desire,
all things are at peace.
Tao Te Ching v37
Pray for Others
I honor all people by holding them in prayer.
What would happen if we put a new spin on the old adage keep your friends close and your “not so friendly acquaintances” closer? Today let’s choose to hold in prayer those we might not have considered keeping in thought and mind.
As we pray for and with others, we are reminded that we are all part of God’s family. We feel a oneness to God’s infinite love—a love that enfolds the world. Our prayers extend to those in other circumstances, other communities, and other nations.
Centering ourselves in God’s loving presence, one prayer at a time, one person at a time, we make a difference in the world. Praying is an honor and a joy, and a step toward peace as we bless all those for whom we pray.
A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for one who understands.—Proverbs 14:6
For morning and evening review:
God, being Love, is also happiness.
Let me remember love is happiness, and nothing else
brings joy. And so I choose to entertain no substitutes
I seek but what belongs to me in truth.
Love is my heritage, and with it joy. These are the
gifts my Father gave to me. I would accept all that is
mine in truth.
On the hour: God, being Love, is also happiness.
On the half hour: I seek but what belongs to me in truth.

. . . Is Constant
Love Is Light, And Light Is Life
Never concentrate on disease or darkness; concentrate on harmony, light. Center your whole thought upon the spirit of the Lord Christ, the gentle Master, then the weariness of the flesh will fall away from you because by your own inner effort you are transmuting those dark atoms into light. If you could live always in the Light you would need no healing from outside – the Light itself would heal you.
