The supreme good is like water,
which nourishes all things without trying to.
It is content with the low places that people disdain.
Thus it is like the Tao.
In dwelling, live close to the ground.
In thinking, keep to the simple.
In conflict, be fair and generous.
In governing, don’t try to control.
In work, do what you enjoy.
In family life, be completely present.
When you are content to be simply yourself
and don’t compare or compete,
everybody will respect you.
Tao Te Ching v8
One with all beings, I contribute to a consciousness of peace.
People of diverse cultures and belief systems around the world all desire peace. Each person is an expression of God, an instrument of peace. I align my thoughts with these like-minded people, opening the way to harmony and spiritual freedom. Together we tap in to the power of love to bless one another and every being in the world. We look beyond prejudice or narrow-mindedness to envision a world of respect, understanding, and oneness of purpose.
Our oneness in thought, purpose, and understanding builds an environment of lasting peace. I view the world through the eyes of divine love, and I affirm goodness, love, and peace. My vision of oneness and harmony contributes to a consciousness of peace.
In the beginning … God created the heavens and the earth.—Genesis 1:1
Today we will review these ideas:
The light has come.
In choosing salvation rather than attack, I merely choose to recognize what is already there. Salvation is a decision made already. Attack and grievances are not there to choose. That is why I always choose between truth and illusion; between what is there and what is not. The light has come. I can but choose the light, for it has no alternative. It has replaced the darkness, and the darkness has gone.
These would prove useful forms for specific applications of this idea:
This cannot show me darkness, for the light has come.
The light in you is all that I would see, [name].
I would see in this only what is there.

I am under no laws but God’s.
Here is the perfect statement of my freedom. I am under no laws but God’s. I am constantly tempted to make up other laws and give them power over me. I suffer only because of my belief in them. They have no real effect on me at all. I am perfectly free of the effects of all laws save God’s. And His are the laws of freedom.
For specific forms in applying this idea, these would be useful:
My perception of this shows me I believe in laws that do not exist.
I see only the laws of God at work in this.
Let me allow God’s laws to work in this, and not my own.

The Hidden Blessing
Behind every dark happening, behind every difficulty, there is a hidden blessing. Man has to develop faith and confidence in God, knowing that at the right moment, at the acceptable time of the Lord, the magic will be worked, the dark shroud will fall away, and the radiant angel will be waiting. Behind all is the glory of God’s life – the divine magic which illumines all life’s happenings.
