The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.
Tao Te Ching v1
I am divinely focused.
In my daily prayers, I always give thanks to God for blessing and healing and guiding my loved ones. I envision each and every one enfolded in God’s loving embrace, knowing and affirming for them that they are perfect expressions of God’s light and life. As I affirm and pray, I remain divinely focused, allowing God’s love to move in me and through me to bless others.
I let go of outside distractions and center my thoughts on God. I quiet my mind and concentrate on taking slow and steady breaths. I am calm and at peace and open to God’s loving presence. In this presence, I know the peace that surpasses all understanding. My willingness to focus allows God’s love to flow through me.
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.—1 John 4:7
We will review these ideas today:
The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.
My forgiveness is the means by which the light of the world finds expression through me. My forgiveness is the means by which I become aware of the light of the world in me. My forgiveness is the means by which the world is healed, together with myself. Let me, then, forgive the world, that it may be healed along with me.
Suggestions for specific forms for applying this idea are:
Let peace extend from my mind to yours, [name].
I share the light of the world with you, [name].
Through my forgiveness I can see this as it is.
Let me not forget my function.
I would not forget my function, because I would remember my Self. I cannot fulfill my function if I forget it. And unless I fulfill my function, I will not experience the joy that God intends for me.
Suitable specific forms of this idea include:
Let me not use this to hide my function from me.
I would use this as an opportunity to fulfill my function.
This may threaten my ego, but cannot change my function in any way.

Leave The Outworking To God
Think of life as a vast whole. It is impossible for you to comprehend infinity, but this simple fact you can understand: a prayer, a thought, an aspiration to those in the heaven world, is never lost. Instantly you make that contact by prayer, or meditation, angels gather to help you fulfill your aspiration and to answer a true prayer. It may not always be answered in the way you want, but it will be answered in a very much better way if only you will be content to leave the outworking of your prayer to God and His angels.
