Express yourself completely,
then keep quiet.
Be like the forces of nature:
when it blows, there is only wind;
when it rains, there is only rain;
when the clouds pass, the sun shines through.
If you open yourself to the Tao,
you are at one with the Tao
and you can embody it completely.
If you open yourself to insight,
you are at one with insight
and you can use it completely.
If you open yourself to loss,
you are at one with loss
and you can accept it completely.
Open yourself to the Tao,
then trust your natural responses;
and everything will fall into place.
Tao Te Ching v23
I open my heart to receive miracles.
When the angel Gabriel visited Mary to share that she would soon bear a child, she must have experienced shock and wonder as she absorbed the angel’s message.
Mary must have tapped in to her inner guidance in those times of both uncertainty and joyful anticipation of the fulfillment of Gabriel’s message. Amazing things happen in my own life, leaving me in a similar state of mixed emotions. When I realize that something beyond my wildest dreams is coming into my life, I follow Mary’s example and respond with gratitude, humility, and faith. My heart is open to receive miracles.
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.—Luke 1:37-38
Judgment and love are opposites. From one
Come all the sorrows of the world. But from
The other comes the peace of God Himself.
Forgiveness looks on sinlessness alone, and judges not. Through this I come to You. Judgment will bind my eyes and make me blind. Yet love, reflected in forgiveness here, reminds me You have given me a way to find Your peace again. I am redeemed when I elect to follow in this way. You have not left me comfortless. I have within me both the memory of You, and One Who leads me to it. Father, I would hear Your Voice and find Your peace today. For I would love my own Identity, and find in It the memory of You.

Stilling The Storm
It is easy to be stirred and emotionally upset by contact with inharmonious conditions, but as the Christ Light within grows stronger it teaches the neophyte to control passion and emotion, to keep it stilled and in its right place, so that emotions can be used for spiritual service but not allowed to storm through the soul upsetting and shattering it.
