The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.
Tao Te Ching v1
Pray for Others
I open my heart and lift up all who are in need of prayer.
When someone is going through a difficult time, he or she may find it hard to still the mind and commune with God. At such times I offer my prayer support. I envision that person encircled in love, comfort, and perfect health. I affirm the truth, that God is present in this moment and place. In prayer, we are united in a heart-to-heart connection.
I apply this practice for others beyond my circle of family and friends. I envision my community enveloped in love and health. Then I broaden my vision to see each continent infused with peace and understanding, their leaders using divine wisdom to guide each decision. I affirm the truth that God is present in each moment and place, and all is well.
When he had finished speaking, he knelt down with them all and prayed.—Acts 20:36
I have already chosen what You will.
Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interposed a second will more powerful than Yours. Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. This am I, and this will never change. As You are One, so am I one with You. And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. That choice was made for all eternity. It cannot change, and be in opposition to itself. Father, my will is Yours. And I am safe, untroubled and serene, in endless joy, because it is Your Will that it be so.
Today we will accept our union with each other and our Source. We have no will apart from His, and all of us are one because His Will is shared by all of us. Through it we recognize that we are one. Through it we find our way at last to God.

. . . Is Gentle, Loving, Kind
The Sleeping Princess
Often you see only the rough practical exterior of a man or woman. If you could cut away the thorns, you would find a gentle beautiful nature beneath, sleeping. Strive always to find the princess behind all prickly growths. We all possess the Light within; we all have that higher, that princess self. We should therefore deal with each other lovingly, always seeking the best, and encouraging beauty in every possible way.
