The Tao gives birth to One.
One gives birth to Two.
Two gives birth to Three.
Three gives birth to all things.
All things have their backs to the female
and stand facing the male.
When male and female combine,
all things achieve harmony.
Ordinary men hate solitude.
But the Master makes use of it,
embracing his aloneness, realizing
he is one with the whole universe.
Tao Te Ching v42
I practice authenticity with myself and others.
Actors spend hours rehearsing, learning lines, and working with technicians to get everything just right. They also delve in to the accent, movements, and motivations of the character. After a performance, actors shed these things and become themselves once again.
In some aspects of my life, I may perform as if I am an actor and hide behind a mask or image. I value authenticity in relationships. God leads me to look at areas where my lines and roles may not reflect my Highest Self. I lovingly release any actions and words not in alignment with my true nature. In Truth, I am a loving, kind, and generous expression of Christ. As I practice authenticity with myself and others, I trust myself more and I am free.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.—John 8:32
My present happiness is all I see.
Unless I look upon what is not there, my present happiness is all I see. Eyes that begin to open see at last. And I would have Christ’s vision come to me this very day. What I perceive without God’s Own Correction for the sight I made is frightening and painful to behold. Yet I would not allow my mind to be deceived by the belief the dream I made is real an instant longer. This the day I seek my present happiness, and look on nothing else except the thing I seek.
With this resolve I come to You, and ask Your strength to hold me up today, while I but seek to do Your Will. You cannot fail to hear me, Father. What I ask have You already given me. And I am sure that I will see my happiness today.

. . . Is Patient, Trusting In God’s Goodness And His Perfect Plan
It is easy, on looking back, when you know how things have worked out, for you to say, ‘How could I doubt?’ But it is now, while the working out is in the process, that you have to give your confidence to the divine Wisdom guiding your life. When you have experienced, when you have tasted the fruits spread on the heavenly table, you will see that nothing could have been altered. If you had you will, you would create great confusion and suffering for yourself, but God in His compassion protects you.
