What Matters?

EaseFame or integrity: which is more important?
Money or happiness: which is more valuable?
Success of failure: which is more destructive?
If you look to others for fulfillment,
you will never truly be fulfilled.
If your happiness depends on money,
you will never be happy with yourself.
Be content with what you have;
rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking,
the whole world belongs to you.

PatienceDiscipline
Discipline brings me joy.
Discipline is part of an enjoyable life. Meditation teacher Stephan Bodian defines discipline as “the capacity to do something again and again.” What is worth repeating? Certainly those things generating joy, peace, love, and clarity. I celebrate my discipline by noting its benefits in my prayers, writing, and conversations.
A musician strives to move from the mechanics of practice into the timeless, creative flow of Spirit. As an instrument of the Divine, I attune to Spirit through disciplined practice. I reflect on what I most want to experience, engage in activities that support my goals, and set my intention to repeat them daily. Discipline brings me joy.
Put these things into practice, devote yourself to them, so that all may see your progress.—1 Timothy 4:15

Archer 2I am not a body. I am free.
For I am still as God created me.
I choose the joy of God instead of pain.
Pain is my own idea. It is not a Thought of God, but one I
thought apart from Him and from His Will. His Will is joy,
and only joy for His beloved Son. And that I choose, instead
of what I made.
I am not a body. I am free.
For I am still as God created me.

World Peace 7. . . Is Strong To Serve
Whatsoever Thy Hand
It does not matter what your work is on the earth. What does matter is that you should do your work with all your heart and with all your strength and with all your mind. Pray also for wisdom that you may work in the right way and for courage that you may not become faint-hearted on your path.
