Patience

My Treasrue House is FullIf you want to become whole,
let yourself be partial.
If you want to become straight,
let yourself be crooked.
If you want to become full,
let yourself be empty.
If you want to be reborn,
let yourself die.
If you want to be given everything,
give everything up.
The Master, by residing in the Tao,
sets an example for all beings.
Because he doesn’t display himself,
people can see his light.
Because he has nothing to prove,
people can trust his words.
Because he doesn’t know who he is,
people recognize themselves in him.
Because he has no goal in mind,
everything he does succeeds.
When the ancient Masters said,
“If you want to be given everything,
give everything up,”
they weren’t using empty phrases.
Only in being lived by the Tao can you be truly yourself.

Divine SelfHealing
My body responds to my healing thoughts, and I radiate health.
As I begin my day, I pause to reflect on how wonderfully my body is built. Each part is important to the whole and naturally strives toward health and wholeness.
Today I give thanks for my amazing body. I become aware of every part, from head to toe. I notice how my body is feeling in this moment without judgment. I notice the air gently entering and exiting my lungs, and I feel the rhythmic pulse of my heart.
I consciously bless all my body parts: every bone, tissue, organ, and gland. Health and wholeness flow through me as my body responds to my loving thoughts. With every inhale, I am renewed. With every exhale, I give thanks to God for the living temple of my soul.
Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.—Proverbs 16:24

Suspend Judgement 2What I see is a form of vengeance.
Today’s idea accurately describes the way anyone who holds attack thoughts in his mind must see the world. Having projected his anger onto the world, he sees vengeance about to strike at him. His own attack is thus perceived as self defense. This becomes an increasingly vicious circle until he is willing to change how he sees. Otherwise, thoughts of attack and counter-attack will preoccupy him and people his entire world. What peace of mind is possible to him then?
It is from this savage fantasy that you want to escape. Is it not joyous news to hear that it is not real? Is it not a happy discovery to find that you can escape? You made what you would destroy; everything that you hate and would attack and kill. All that you fear does not exist.
Look at the world about you at least five times today, for at least a minute each time. As your eyes move slowly from one object to another, from one body to another, say to yourself:
I see only the perishable.
I see nothing that will last.
What I see is not real.
What I see is a form of vengeance.
At the end of each practice period, ask yourself:
Is this the world I really want to see?
The answer is surely obvious.

Comfort. . . Is Tolerant
Be Patient With Your Days
If you are delayed, if your work does not seem to be developing as you hoped, do not be despondent or disheartened, but be thankful that you are being trained for greater initiation. No great or good work is ever accomplished without patient preparation. Every detail of the soul’s work must be perfectly done. So be patient with your work, patient with all happenings of your daily life, and especially patient with your fellows.
