What is rooted is easy to nourish.
What is recent is easy to correct.
What is brittle is easy to break.
What is small is easy to scatter.
Prevent trouble before it arises.
Put things in order before they exist.
The giant pine tree
grows from a tiny sprout.
The journey of a thousand miles
starts from beneath your feet.
Rushing into action, you fail.
Trying to grasp things, you lose them.
Forcing a project to completion,
you ruin what was almost ripe.
Therefore the Master takes action
by letting things take their course.
He remains as calm
at the end as at the beginning.
He has nothing,
thus has nothing to lose.
What he desires is non-desire;
what he learns is to unlearn.
He simply reminds people
of who they have always been.
He cares about nothing but the Tao.
Thus he can care for all things.
Tao Te Ching v64
I have absolute faith in God.
As Christmas approaches, my faith grows. I imagine what it must have been like 2,000 years ago when Mary was expecting baby Jesus. Her anticipation and wonder were multiplied knowing this baby was particularly special. Her faith was absolute and unshakable.
My faith in God is immovable. If I sense a tinge of doubt, I close my eyes and feel the presence of Spirit. As I remember that with God all things are possible, my faith is instantly renewed. Mine is an understanding faith. I may not grasp all the complexities of life, but spiritual understanding assures me that divine order is always unfolding. As I am guided to something new or even challenging, I step out in faith and expect only good.
Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive. Matthew 21:22
Today the peace of God envelops me,
And I forget all things except His Love.
Father, I wake today with miracles correcting my perception of all things. And so begins the day I share with You as I will share eternity, for time has stepped aside today. I do not seek the things of time, and so I will not look upon them. What I seek today transcends all laws of time and things perceived in time. I would forget all things except Your Love. I would abide in You, and know no laws except Your law of love. And I would find the peace which You created for Your Son, forgetting all the foolish toys I made as I behold Your glory and my own.
And when the evening comes today, we will remember nothing but the peace of God. For we will learn today what peace is ours, when we forget all things except God’s Love.

Worship The Lord Thy God
Don’t bow down to mammon, and all the material difficulties and problems of the world. If instead you will turn to worship God with all your heart and soul and mind, all the cares of mortal life will be dissolved, because they will have no part in you, no abiding place in your heart. The Christ in you can deal in a masterly way with these perplexities.
